HTC said recently that it will focus on the quality of its top-of-the-line “Hero” smartphones moving forward instead of pumping out a large number of devices across multiple price points. “We have to get back to focusing on what made us great – amazing hardware and a great customer experience,” HTC’s UK head Phil Roberson said in an interview with Mobile Today .

We haven’t heard much at all about the BlackBerry Curve 9320, but it looks to be a new BlackBerry 7 device releasing in the next few months. It won’t be anything too fancy, but it will be a lower cost device for emerging markets.

It looks like some high-end smartphone seekers may have a happy holiday now as the BlackBerry P’9981 is set to be released in the luxury department store Harrods and will be exclusive to the UK (at least for now).

[ youtube video link for mobile viewing ] Following up our hands-on walk through of the BlackBerry Bold 9790 , I spent some time at BlackBerry headquarters with the first touchscreen in the Curve franchise, the BlackBerry Curve 9380 . The Curve 9380 is clearly the sister of the full qwerty BlackBerry Curve 9360 . With both phones lying side by side with fronts facing down, it’s difficult to tell which is which.
