RIM: It’s okay, we have superheroes

It’s a common human trait that, when faced with a series of calamities, the brain will retreat into a fantasy world in which everything is the exact opposite of reality. Could this be the inspiration for RIM’s four new cartoon characters, which the company hopes will spread its “Be Bold” marketing message? The pattern certainly seems to fit.

Samsung says they’re not interested in buying RIM, nor has RIM approached Samsung to discuss the matter

Directly following up on the rumors of a Samsung acquisition of Research In Motion , Samsung has now come forward to lay down some official word on the matter. In speaking to Reuters , Samsung spokesman James Chung noted: “We haven’t considered acquiring the firm and are not interested in (buying RIM),”  To address the news further, James Chung also noted that Research In Motion had not approached Samsung on the matter. Research In Motion stock saw a rise of over 10% with the news but with Samsung now confirming it to be nothing more than a rumor — we’ll see where the stock ends up

RIM shows the love at CES2012 through BBM

RIM says thank you to the BlackBerry faithful at CES2012 RIM has an army out in full force at CES2012 adding BlackBerry users to BBM for the purpose of pampering us with limo rides, snacks and charged batteries. We were met on the platform coming off the monorail at the Las Vegas Convention Center by these PR folks with QR codes hanging around their necks.
